Where do I begin?
Hi!
My name is Joseph William Hack-Myers, I'm a film student, with 4 years experience in professional editing, film making, radio producing, and presenting, TV presenting, Directing, writing and in TV and Film acting. I have gained this experience by being very privileged to have attended BOA Creative Digital Performing Arts Academy (2021-2023) and BOA Stage and Screen Academy (2023-2025). Over the 4 years at both schools I learned all the tricks of the trade, to help me earn my starting place in the creative industry. I discovered and flourished my true passion and interest In becoming a TV and Radio Presenter. Inspired all throughout my childhood, I've been carefully studying and practicing my craft, dreaming bigger and better with every idea.

Through my lucky education, I've had to opportunity to host multi-cam TV shows and present self produced and organized live radio shows, in a professional grade studio, to a quality, on-par with Radio 1 or Greatest Hits Radio (G.H.R being my personal favourite choice of station).
​
During my childhood, I was also very fortunate to be apart of Stage2 Youth Theatre, there, I played chorus and major roles in professional grade stage productions. I learned on and off stage craft, for example, I got real hands on experience of what a 12 hour long Get-In and Get-out is like (on multiple occasions). I was in over 5 plays, and even got nominated for a NODA award for my performance in a Claire Dowie Double Bill performance of "Arsehammers".

My love for older music and cars, also stemmed out into technology and phototypography. So from this stemmed-out contingent, I found my love and passion for film cameras, and film, both used for videography and photography.
This led me on to buying my own film cameras and experimenting with all different types of film, lenses and cameras.

To be honest.
I have never been the most academically brilliant person, from a young age, I struggled to keep my grades up, and with that, so too my self esteem.
But when doors closed around me, i found others. I dreamed of doing amazing things, much bigger than what the education system ever advertised or taught towards.
I looked to my inspirations, "Top Gear" (and later "The Grand Tour"), Music, which brought me to Radio. After developing the thought, I quickly puzzled the pieces together that i wanted to be a Presenter. To be able to host a program, on tv or on the radio would be a dream come true, proving to others and myself that anything is possible, as long you follow what you love, and what feel you are destined to become.

Why me?
I feel that I am a dedicated worker, one that works well in a team, helping to come up with exciting and creative ideas. I strive for the best, and support others to achieve the same. Where i might lack in my number skills, I strive in my almost photographic memory of music and it's making, plus my general knowledge, emotional intelligence and quick humour, which is one that is of one well beyond my years.

When I care about a project, I give it my all, leaving no room for any missed opportunities for a joke, or room for a interesting fact, or a carefully placed insightful analogy.

I understand that I will almost definitely have to work my way up the industry chain, and that my dream won't be dropped on a plate in front of me. I will work and grow as a creative worker and as a person to help develop my place in the creative world. And I can't wait to get going.
